2025 Brighton Men’s Lacrosse Varsity Letter Criteria
It is our desire to have as many players as possible earn a varsity letter. The following criteria must be met to earn a letter:
- Attend all games and practices throughout the year. Excused absences must be approved by the Head Coach in advance and will be evaluated on an individual basis.
- If you are in need of time to study for school, this is considered an excused absence. Please talk to your coaches about required study time, particularly during the midterms. Please expect a difficult conversation regarding time management skills
- Be a student in good standing at the end of the lacrosse season.
- Please work closely with your coaches to maintain academic eligibility. Becoming ineligible during the season does not disqualify you from earning a letter. Regaining eligibility is, however, required.
- Conduct yourself in alignment with the mission and goals for Brighton High School. This conduct goes beyond the field of play. In order to earn a letter, you must maintain satisfactory conduct at school and in the community.
- All equipment and uniforms must be returned on time and in satisfactory condition for a person to remain eligible for a Varsity Letter.
- Players will not be eligible to participate in any non-season activities, including conditioning, until this requirement is successfully met.
- The Head Coach has the final say as to who does and doesn’t earn a letter.
